Final conference - Valencia

The final conference of the ELPT - Expert on Local Public Transport project will be held in Valencia on 29 March. Partners, protagonists of the training courses and experts in sustainable mobility and local public transport will meet in the splendid Spanish setting to discuss the evaluation of ELPT results, LPT innovation and future opportunities within the European frameworks. The first part of the conference will be focusing on the presentation of the ELP Transport results:

  • LPT Competence Framework including report on skills with best practices at national and EU level;

  • The ELPT profile, supporting TPL managers in integrating innovation to serve local needs and European targets;

  • E-learning and work based experience: pilots in Spain, Italy and Croatia - through the voice of some of the participating students;

  • Assessment and recognition tools;

  • A tool aimed at monitor skill mismatch and update the Vocational Profile.

    The second part of the conference will be a larger debate among TPL experts, companies and authorities on challenges and opportunities for TPL innovation, with a comparative perspective among Spain, Italy and Croatia against the European Background.

Mr. Emre Kiram, from UITP will talk on TPL European trends and challenges, followed by a round table among professor Toma’s Ruiz, Transport Department - School of Civil Engineering Universitat Politècnica de València (ES), Mr. Josep Garcia, old Manager of EMT Valencia and transport and mobility consultant (ES), Mr. Manuel Martinez Grau, Manager Director of Autoritat de Transport Metropolità de València (ES), Assoc.Prof.Marko Slavuj, Ph.D, Head of Supervisory Board (CRO), Ms. Caterina Belletti, President of Provincial Transport Company Gorizia (IT).
